Our Story
I’m Stephen James — the founder of Landlord Energy Hub and an energy efficiency specialist with over 15 years of hands-on commercial experience across the UK and Australia.
After moving from the UK to Australia in 2010, I drew on my background in refrigeration design to build one of the first companies in the country to specialise in heat pump technology. Over the years we expanded into solar thermal, solar PV and battery storage — combining these technologies to create fully off-grid, self-sustaining homes for families across Australia.
Returning to the UK, I continued working in energy efficiency and building services — and quickly realised that UK landlords were being spectacularly badly served by the advice available to them online.
I built this site because the guidance landlords find is almost universally written by marketers, not engineers — and designed to sell your contact details to the highest bidder rather than help you make the right decision. You deserve better than that.
